Terms

Prices are per person per week, sharing a twin or double room prices are based on per person, dietary requirements for gluten; celiac allergies or other intolerances an additional extra charge is required £3.80 per night. A Booking Fee of 50.00 will apply to each individual booking.

 

Full payment must be paid four weeks prior to your arrival or at least two weeks at the latest. Should there be a cancellation please note, fees will be charged if notice is not given during the week before.

 

Code of Conduct is given to each host family who in turn, is expected to inform their guests on arrival. Reasonable behaviour is expected during a guest’s stay. JET reserves the right to transfer/remove any student(s) when their conduct is unsatisfactory. Guests should accept and follow the host family guidelines. Conduct should be in a manner that is appropriate and considerate of those around them. Strictly no private accommodation arrangements should be made between host family and their guest(s), should this come to the Director’s (JET) attention, the particular host family involved will have their contract agreement withdrawn forthwith.

 

Expected host family conduct:

As part of our commitment to students and guests, host families will be expected to provide a safe and comfortable home environment for the duration of the stay.

Should there be any concerns or difficulties arising during guests’ stay, the host family, should in the first instance, try to resolve the matter in discussion with the student concerned.

If the problem cannot be resolved satisfactorily, then the host family should inform JET who will intervene to bring about a satisfactory conclusion.

If the matter still cannot be resolved, and if appropriate, there will be a transfer to another accommodation.

 

Liability disclaimer

The Company (JET) disclaims any responsibility or liability whatsoever to the Hosts for actions of any student that may result in the following, including, but not limited to, personal injury, property damage and any other costs and expenses (including, but not limited to telephone charges and other costs and expenses). It remains the responsibility of the Host to ensure that they are correctly and properly insured against such eventualities. It is also the responsibility of the Host to inform their insurers that they are providing this service. Hosts must provide current Gas & Electricity Certificates (under the Safety Regulations Act (1994) and Amendments (1996). The Host must confirm that any gas and or electrical appliance in their accommodation have been checked and certified by a Gas Safe engineer/suitably qualified electrician within the last 12 months. Thereafter, suitable checks should be carried out and appropriate certificate obtained when necessary.

 

The information supplied on the application form, and any other subsequent document must be true and correct. If there are any changes after signing the original application form, or subsequent forms, then the Host must notify the Company (JET).

 

The Data Protection Act:

JET (Ldn) Ltd is committed to protecting the rights and privacy of individuals in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Hence, any personal data which we collect, record or use in any way, whether it is held on paper, on computer or other media, will have appropriate safeguards applied to it.

 

The Host acknowledges having read the above stated policies of the Company (JET) and agrees to act as a Host for the Company (JET), and to abide by the general rules, conditions and guidelines as outlined in this contract and according to the guidelines.
